Bethlehem Haitian Baptist Church

Church History

Bethlehem Haitian Baptist Church was first established in West Palm Beach, FL in November 1987. At the time, the church was established, it was affiliated with a denomination based in the state of Missouri, called Laodicea Reorganized Church of Jesus. Eventually, the church changed affiliation permanently to the Southern Baptist Convention. The first congregation met at a location on Iris Street in Downtown West Palm Beach (near CityPlace), where the selling of drugs and criminal activity were rampant. The drug dealers would vandalized the church property, constantly.

God continued to provide vision for the ministry, therefore, the growing congregation moved to a location in 39th St in West Palm Beach. That location was rented as the first church location was, and at this time, God's Spirit lead the church to buy the next and permanent location.

In 2000, the church moved to its current location, and fulfilled the vision of church ownership. Many ministries and leaders have developed throughout the years of ministry and the Pastor's vision has always been share the Good News of God's love and His gift of salvation to the world.

Within a year or so, Pastor Fleurimond joined our congregation to serve as one of the pastors and has been a blessing to many, ever since.

Within a few years, God called Brother Vilnet to further his education in biblical studies. He was called to serve in the ministry. In 2007, Pastor Vilnet earned a diploma in Christian ministry from Golden Gate Theological Seminary. In September 2007, he was ordained as pastor. In 2008, he enrolled at Palm Beach Atlantic University with a BA degree. On May 5th, 2012, earned his BA in Ministry from PBAU. He is still continuing his education to get his master's degree.
